Jim Jefferies has made his first signing as Dunfermline Athletic manager by bringing in goalkeeper Bernardo Dominguez Fernandez.
The 32-year old Spaniard has signed for the remainder of the season and will be available as soon as he obtains his international clearance.
Dominguez Fernandez has spent his entire career in his homeland, mainly with lower division clubs, and has been brought in to give cover after Paul Gallacher and Iain Turner went down with injury leaving only Chris Smith as the recognised senior gloveman.
"Bernardo is a 32-year-old Spanish goalkeeper from Zafra, Badajoz. His previous club was SD Huesca who play in Segunda Division.
"Bernardo left Huesca in January 2012 after his second spell at the club, making a total of 43 appearances. Bernardo has also played for Siero, Amurrio, Orihuela, Alaves, Tenerife (loan), and Recreativo.""DAFC have agreed to sign Bernardo Dominguez Fernandez subject to international clearance," read a statement on the club's official website.
