Paul Dixon has been voted Dundee United's Young Player of the Year - and admits his first season at Tannadice has exceeded even his own expectations. The 22-year-old said: "It was a huge honour to be voted the club's Young Player of the Year."
He continued: "Playing for the club is something I always dreamed of, so I'd like to thank the fans for recognising me.
"The last year has been amazing. I made the decision to leave Dundee because I wanted to progress and play at a higher level."
"Craig Levein showed a lot of faith in me and there's no doubt I've become a better player in the last year," he added.
"If I'm honest, I've probably played more than I thought I would've this season.
"I knew that we had another quality left-back in Danny Grainger, so I would have to be patient but I think I took my chance when it came along.
"Getting into Europe would be the icing on the cake for me. I remember the club being in Europe before and what it meant to the fans."
