Dundee United boss Craig Levein has decided against offering terms to trialist Patrick Suffo.

The former Hearts manager revealed: "He didn't do badly but I'm only looking for someone who will improve the squad and he wasn't going to do that so I'm not taking things on any further.

"I'll still be looking to bring someone else in but I won't do it just for the sake of it. Any new signings will have to add to the quality we already have.

"Jon Daly should play a reserve game in the next 10 days, which is great news, but we'd still like to get another striker on board."
