Dundee United chairman Stephen Thompson has settled his differences with the Scottish Football Association over Craig Levein's appointment as Scotland boss. Thompson was furious with the SFA over the handling of their negotiations with Levein and the compensation United were due as a result of him quitting Tannadice.
Thompson told BBC Scotland: "There's no war any more.
"I have spoken to Gordon Smith and George Peat and it's sorted. A few things got blown out of proportion.
"I just got frustrated with the process and at losing our best manager since Jim McLean."
United were due a reported £250,000 in compensation as part of Levein's contract and Thompson had been frustrated by arrangements between his club and the SFA.
But he said on Boxing Day: "It is 100 per cent sorted. We are quite happy."
