Dundee United chairman Stephen Thompson claims the SFA have treated his club 'shabbily' in their bid to recruit Craig Levein as Scotland coach. The United boss held "positive discussions" with the SFA on Monday and then met with Thompson on Tuesday morning to indicate his wish to become national manager.
Thompson insists he has heard nothing from the governing body, whom he claims have acted "disgracefully" in their handling of the negotiations.
"We have not received any offer of compensation by fax, email, letter or anything else," Thompson told BBC Scotland.
"We are a member club and deserve to be treated with a bit more respect in this matter.
"We have been treated shabbily."
