Scottish club Dundee United have made it clear that manager Peter Houston's job is not in danger.
Reports earlier today suggested that the Arabs boss was set for crisis discussions with chairman Stephen Thompson after the club were eliminated from the Scottish Communities League Cup by First Division outfit Falkirk on Tuesday and the fact they sit third bottom on the league table.
But a club statement suggests that this is merely hearsay: "The club have no comment to make on what is simply speculation and rumour regarding the manager's position.
"Everyone at the club is fully committed to Saturday's game against Dunfermline and trying to get the club further up the SPL table."
