Dundee United boss Craig Levein is challenging defender Garry Kenneth to establish himself this season.
He said: "Peter Houston and Tony Docherty were at the Under-21s game and told me Garry won all his headers and put in a good 90 minutes.
"When I arrived at United he lacked consistency, but he seems to be adding that and I am pleased with his progress.
"What he has to do now is keep working hard and when his chance comes along at United he has to make the most of it."
