David Goodwillie says his experience in the Premier League has helped turn him into a better player.
The 24-year old striker is back at Dundee United, on a season-long loan from Blackburn Rovers, who he joined in August 2011.
Goodwillie says the time he spent at Ewood Park, especially when the Lancashire club was in England's top flight, will benefit him back in Scotland.
"Training with Premiership players in my first season there was great but they are all just normal guys," he told the Daily Record.
"Most of them are humble. They come in, train with the squad and go home to their families.
"I was also maybe training with a bit more quality. There's more sports science down there and I enjoyed that.
"They put you through a physical regime as well. I feel like I've benefitted from it so we'll see what happens."
