Rangers boss Ally McCoist is still interest in Dundee United young gun Scott Allan according to reports.
The 19-year old Scotland U21 midfielder has been linked with the likes of Celtic, Newcastle United and Manchester United and recently turned down a new deal at Tannadice.
'Gers are hoping to get in early before any potential rivals and up the ante on their pursuit of the promising talent who will come with a £300,000 compensation fee.
