Dundee United manager Peter Houston is aware that Motherwell will prove a very tough opponent at Fir Park in tonight's Scottish Cup quarter-final replay.
The two sides drew 2-2 at Tannadice Park earlier this month and Houston is eyeing another tight match, so much so that he has prepared his charges for a penalty shootout as the Arabs go about defending their title.
"Going to Fir Park has never been easy and our record there this season is that we've lost two, so we've got a lot to work on and a lot to play for," said Houston.
"We need to be prepared maybe even for extra-time and penalties."
The international break has come at a good time for Dundee although their form prior was great as they went undefeated in eight and have triumphed in five of their past six.
Houston said his players will be fully charged when they take on the Steelmen tonight.
"It's unsettled other teams that have had a wee break, but that remains to be seen," he added yesterday.
"It's been a fantastic effort from the players, and they needed a wee change and a break.
"We're not out of March yet, so in a small period of time - 29 days or so, 30 days - we've won five and drawn the cup tie. Hopefully they can continue that form tomorrow."
