Dundee United's Houston plays down crisis talks

Peter Houston has played down suggestions of a crisis at Dundee United following a five-game winless streak.

The Arabs won their first two Scottish Premier League games of the season but have since drawn two and lost three to have fallen to second bottom on the table.

Despite the poor run, Houston is not too alarmed as he feels he has the players to lift the club out of the relegation zone.

"There's no panic here. I would like to think it's a time for calm heads all over the place with regards to myself, the players and the supporters," he said.

"I don't think with the group of players we have we will be anywhere near the bottom come the end of the season.

"We think if we can string a few wins together we will soon start to climb the table.

"The league shows we are second bottom, but we were in that area for a while last season and got out of it."
