English Championship club Bristol City are believed to be keen on Dundee United's David Goodwillie.

Robins boss Keith Millen was at Tannadice to watch Goodwillie help his side to a 2-0 win over Motherwell during the week, indicating his interest in the striker, and he is now ready to make a move.

Rangers recently failed with a £600,000 bid for Goodwillie meaning Bristol will have to up the ante if they want their man.

But it has also been suggested by SunSport that 'Gers boss Walter Smith is hoping to use the money from the fifth round Scottish Cup tie with Celtic to again go at Goodwillie who has scored 11 league goals this season.
