Dundee United's Jon Daly insists the players will continue to be professional despite the premature departure of manager Peter Houston.
Houston left Tannadice on Monday despite coming to an agreement with club hierarchy to finish up at the end of the season and although Daly admits it is a weird feeling, he has made it clear that the show must go on even without their boss.
"It has come as a bit of a surprise that the manager has left so soon," he said.
"We knew he was leaving at the end of the season.
"But he just came in this morning and told all of the boys that he was away.
"Obviously things have been happening behind the scenes since it was announced.
"We are professionals, we have a massive game against Motherwell (on Tuesday night) and everyone is focused on that now.
"Once we were out there everyone just got on with it.
"It's probably a good thing we've got a game so quickly because our minds are on that.
"These things happen. You can't dwell on it and we have a game to look forward to."
