Duncan Watmore could be in line for a senior call at Sunderland.

The former Manchester United trainee again impressed his U21 coach Kevin Ball for their draw with Aston Villa.

Ball, who remains caretaker manager at Sunderland, told safc.com: "Duncan Watmore, who I thought was excellent again, went on a great run and set up George Honeyman whose shot hit the post and young David [Moberg Karlsson] followed up and scored - fair play to him."
