Paul Dummett believes that each and every Newcastle United player is up for the relegation decider against West Ham United on Sunday.
The 23-year old defender reflected on the details of the meeting where first team coach Steve Stone held open the door of the training ground's meeting room and players were invited by manager John Carver to walk out it if they were not up for the crunch clash.
Dummett said: "I thought it was the right thing to do.
"If there are players in there who aren't interested in fighting there's no point in being involved.
"All you are going to do is bring a negative attitude around the squad, the stadium and training ground.
"Nobody walked out.
"You have got to be positive and everybody is up for the fight.
"I don't think any player in the world should not be up for a fight in a massive game like this.
"It's a game you have to want to be involved to help this club.
"As a player nobody wants to be involved in relegation battles.
"But as a player at this club everyone in there should be wanting to do everything they can to help us win on Sunday."
