Paul Duffen expects Adam Pearson to replace him as Hull City chairman.
Duffen had his resignation accepted by the Tigers yesterday and Pearson is tipped to return to the KC after leaving Derby County earlier this week.
Duffen said: "I think it is very likely now there will be some new life coming into the club, maybe Adam Pearson will come back and it will give the club the chance to settle down and go in a new direction.
"I am not the club spokesman. It would seem very logical and very sensible and I would be surprised if Adam doesn't come back and play some part in the football club."
