Martin Dubravka is awaiting a decision on his Newcastle United future.
The Slovakian goalkeeper, who impressed mightily in his short loan spell this season, is desperate to make a permanent move to St. James' Park.
Newcastle are equally as keen on signing Dubravka, but are yet to complete a deal with the 29-year-old's parent club, Sparta Prague.
"I would like to, of course," he told The Chronicle.
"It's a huge club with a great history, amazing fans and quality players. We will see what's going to happen."
On playing in the Premier League, Dubravka added: "I was dreaming of one of the big leagues since I was really young. It was something special for me.
"Of course, you have some idols, and Hugo Lloris was one of these idols. I was so happy that I could be on the pitch with him [at Wembley]. He's an amazing player and an amazing person."
