Dion Dublin says all of Manchester United's modern day success is down to HIM!!
Dublin had only been with the Reds for three weeks in 1992 when his leg was shattered on his Old Trafford debut against Crystal Palace.
He was out for eight months - and during his rehab Sir Alex Ferguson signed Eric Cantona.
Cantona inspired United to a first league title in 26 years and there was no way back for the luckless Dublin.
He told the Scottish Sun: "I broke my left leg on my Old Trafford debut and was out for eight months. I'M responsible for Manchester United's success - it's all down to me.
"Yeah, they did sign Eric while I was out, unfortunately. He wasn't bad, to be honest.
"You had Eric, Mark Hughes, Brian McClair and Paul Scholes.
"Then there's me, this guy signed from Cambridge United.
"So I thought: I'd better just leave it now. I've had a go, you carry on lads!
