Dion Dublin is supremely confident that Wayne Rooney can light up the European Championships.
The Manchester United star will lead England at Euro2016 and despite some criticism about his game earlier in the season, Dublin says the 30-year-old can be the Three Lions' main man in France.
"Rooney can play anywhere for me - he's that good," former United striker Dublin told Standard Sport.
"But we all want Rooney to play that number 10 role.
"Wayne has to play a bit of a free role and number 10 gives you that bit of freedom.
"Wayne can just make things happen. He hasn't been outstanding but if Wayne's on his game he can set the world alight.
"And I do believe he will come to the forefront and be the strong figurehead."
