Dubai break will have players 'firing on all cylinders' - West Ham's Hendon

West Ham United first-team coach Ian Hendon is confident that the warm weather getaway will be beneficial for the remainder of the season.

The Hammers have spent a few days training in Dubai as they get set to embark on a 10-fixture run to the end of the Premier League campaign.

Sam Allardyce's West Ham currently sit 10th on the table and Hendon is buoyant about the final two months of the season which could see them climb into the top seven or eight.

'We all know that our recent results have not been what he had hoped for and expected, but our performances have generally been very good during a challenging set of fixtures, so it was important for us to take stock, refocus and recharge bodies and minds for our final ten important league matches,' wrote Hendon for the club's official website.

'We are confident this break will give the players a chance to recharge their batteries and push back up the table in the remaining fixtures.

'You can be rest assured that the lads will be firing on all cylinders when we travel to Arsenal on Saturday.'
