Drummy pleased as Chelsea beat Charlton in FA Youth Cup

Chelsea coach Dermot Drummy was delighted with their FA Youth Cup win over Charlton Athletic.

Goals from Jeffery Bruma and Marko Mitrovic gave Chelsea a deserved win, with Charlton netting in stoppage time.

"I'm very pleased," Drummy told the club's website. "It was a proper cup tie, end-to-end with missed chances. I thought Charlton did really well and if you take your chances the game opens up, if you don't it becomes more tense.

"The lads have not played together a lot and Jeffrey Bruma showed a great attitude coming down from the first team squad. Aziz Deen-Conteh had a great game and we deserved the result.

"We went 4-3-3 because of the personnel and Gokhan Tore got round the back in the first half. You just have to be careful that the midfield keep their shape and at times we lost it but for the players we have I still think this is the best shape."
