Didier Drogba admits it was a simple decision to sign with Chelsea.
The 36-year old Ivory Coast international has signed a one-year deal with the Blues, marking a sensational return to the club where he spent eight successful seasons.
After putting pen to the deal, Drogba spoke of his choice to complete an emotional homecoming which will see him play under Jose Mourinho who signed him from Marseille back in the summer of 2004.
"It was an easy decision - I couldn't turn down the opportunity to work with Jose again," the fourth-highest all-time Chelsea goal scorer told the club's official website.
"Everyone knows the special relationship I have with this club and it has always felt like home to me.
"My desire to win is still the same and I look forward to the opportunity to help this team. I am excited for this next chapter of my career."
Drogba returns to Chelsea after spending the past 18 months with Turkish giants Galatasaray where he scored 20 goals in 53 appearances in all competitions.
