Departing Chelsea star Didier Drogba has paid tribute to Real Madrid coach Jose Mourinho. They have a special friendship, a relationship that lasted beyond Mourinho's time at the club and continues today.

Drogba said: "Everyone knows he is the man who gave me the strength and the man I learned a lot from. As a human being and a manager I learned a lot from him. He gave me this winning attitude and this desire to make history. He created this, it's in our DNA now. It would've been nice to win it for him, but we tried so many times. As I said after the game, the Champions League is for all the managers who have been chasing the trophy."
