Chelsea icon Didier Drogba has declared he intends to play on next season. The veteran centre-forward comes off contract in June and it has been claimed he could be offered a coaching role by Blues boss Jose Mourinho.
However, Drogba told Telefoot: "I remain a competitor, I definitely prefer to play more and make a greater contribution to the team. Coming here I knew it would be so.
"Now everyone writes that I will join the technical staff, but this is not true.
"I still want to play, and next year I will still be a Chelsea player."
