Chelsea striker Didier Drogba thanked fans for their support as he completed a winning comeback in victory over Swansea City.
The striker's substitute arrival after a month away was greeted by a huge cheer from the Stamford Bridge crowd for which he was extremely grateful.
He told chelseafc.com: "Being knocked out like I was a few weeks ago it wasn't easy to come and play as if nothing happened but I am at a club with fans that are always supporting me and that makes things easier.
"My relationship with the fans has approved a lot, a lot, a lot since a long time now and I am really happy.
"When you play 10 or 15 minutes like this you are under pressure because the other team was with 11 men so it wasn't easy, but even with 10 men we had a very good game so for the team's confidence it is good and it is good for my confidence to score.
"Now I hope I will get more minutes on the pitch to develop and improve my fitness."
