Ivory Coast earned the point they needed for a place in next years World Cup with a 1-1 draw in Malawi. The Elephants will be making their second successive appearance at the finals following thanks to Chelsea striker Didier Drogba's equaliser.

Malawi took the lead in Blantyre through Jacob Ngwira, but second half substitute Drogba struck just after the hour mark.

Ivory Coast are the second African nation to qualify, joining Ghana and hosts South Africa.
