Royston Drenthe enjoys playing on the same flank as star Everton left-back Leighton Baines.

The Blues left-back has enjoyed some fruitful relationships down the flank in the past - most notably with Steven Pienaar - and Drenthe says the signs are good that the two of them can strike up a similar understanding.

"At the moment I am playing with one of the best left-backs in the world. Leighton has really good qualities," Drenthe told evertontv.

"We had a good relationship right from the beginning and that is really important. He can understand me and I can understand him - I am really happy to play with someone like that."
