Wolves striker Kevin Doyle hopes his club can sign Stoke City winger Liam Lawrence.

Lawrence has been linked with Celtic, though Potters chief Tony Scholes admits they're yet to receive an offer for the Republic of Ireland international.

"I love playing with Liam. He's a very nice lad as well," Doyle said of his Ireland teammate.

"I wouldn't be surprised [if Wolves were interested in Lawrence] but he'd be a very good signing for us."
