Film Director Brian Percival has dedicated his Emmy to the memory of the Hillsborough 96 and their families.

The boyhood Liverpool fan picked up the gong for acclaimed BBC drama Downtown Abbey which has also proved a big hit in the USA.

Speaking on LFC TV's Friday Night Live, Percival said: "For any Liverpool fan and people from the city the fight for justice has gone on far too long and it's good that it has come back into the spotlight now.

"It's important to keep it in the spotlight, I had to mention it and hopefully it will do some good."
