Stewart Downing says Aston Villa's players are right behind manager Gerard Houllier after last week's controversy at Liverpool.
Villa go to Wigan next week before a festive season which includes games against Tottenham, Manchester City and Chelsea.
After a crucial three points against West Brom, winger Downing said: "There was relief all around. It was a massive win for us and we know the games ahead of us.
"The Liverpool stuff was a personal issue for the manager. He told us to stick together and ignore the flak that is going around. To be honest nothing has been said about Liverpool."
