Stewart Downing isn't giving up on his Liverpool career.

Downing says he'll continue to battle for his future at Liverpool despite rumours he could leave next month.

Downing said: "It has been frustrating at times and I have been disappointed this season not to have more games.

"But I'm just trying to do my best when I play and to get a goal.

"It is a great club to play for. Hopefully it long continues."
