Liverpool midfielder Stewart Downing says the players are enjoying playing for manager Brendan Rodgers.
Downing has already seen Rodgers encourage him to shoot more in preseason.
He said: "It's still early days. The manager is trying to put his ideas into the team and we've obviously only played together a couple of times, so there are no targets yet.
"But I like his style and the way he wants us to play. Hopefully it works because he's a good manager, the players all like him and his methods and training are really good.
"So far it's been good for us and I think people could see from our Europa League qualifier against FC Gomel the other night that we're playing further up the field.
"That's what the manager wants and that's good for me because I like to play out wide and attack.
"We played some good attacking football against Gomel at Anfield. That's what Liverpool fans like to see and that's the way the boss wants us to play."
