Downing insists West Ham need not panic

Stewart Downing insists there's no need for panic at West Ham United.

Downing made a playing return in defeat at Hull City.

He told WHUTV: "There will be a lot of people saying 'They've lost games' and you get the media outside saying 'Look at them, they're struggling' and looking at the negatives, but inside we have to keep doing what we're doing, which is creating chances.

"We've proved we can beat the best and we can do again. We're just having a little sticky spell. The pleasing thing is that we're creating chances. It would be even worse if we weren't, but we are.

"Hopefully, sooner rather than later we'll get some more players back and we'll get some wins."
