West Ham United winger Stewart Downing says Teddy Sheringham has made a positive impact on the training pitch.
Sheringham was hired over the summer to work with the strikers.
Downing said: "It's always good to have fresh ideas. That's why the manager brought him here.
"Teddy was a great player in his day. To have his presence around lifts all of the players.
"If we stick together we can achieve our goals for the season and maybe even surpass them if we play well.
"We certainly have all the right ingredients to finish higher than last time."
