QPR boss Neil Warnock has been named the Championship manager of the month for September. Warnock guided Rangers to four wins and a draw in September to move six points clear at the top of the table.

Striker Jamie Mackie made it a double celebration at Loftus Road after being selected as the player of the month.

Mackie told the club's official website: "It's a great personal accolade, but it's not about me, it's about the whole squad.

"This award is for all the lads, because it's a team game and each and every player has played their part in helping me win this award."
