Stoke City continued their pre-season as Jonathan Waters scored a brace in the 6-0 demolition of Wrexham on Wednesday.
Mame Biram Diouf opened the scoring at the Racecourse ground before Walters looped the ball over the Wrexham keeper from Erik Pieter's free-kick to make it 2-0.
The Potters grabbed their third just four minutes before half-time as Marco van Ginkel, on loan from Chelsea, burst into the Wrexham half to fire past a helpless Cameron Belford.
Walters was the next on the scoresheet as he added one more to his tally in the 62nd minute through a tap-in. Second-half substitute Joselu, who signed from Hannover earlier this summer, added a fifth and his first goal for Stoke just two minutes later.
The Potters rounded of a satisfying night when Dom Telford's low shot found the bottom corner.
