Doswell so proud to watch Sutton against Arsenal

Sutton United head coach Paul Doswell was thrilled to see his players in action against Arsenal to night.

The National League side were beaten 2-0 by the Gunners in the fifth round of the FA Cup but not before they created a few great scoring chances at Gander Green Lane.

After the math, Doswell spoke of the sense of pride he felt at being able to watch his non-league stars take on the might of a Premier League giant.

"It was a dream to watch my team play against Arsenal," he told the BBC 1.

"The quality of the team they put out showed what's at stake. I'm very very proud.

"We were disappointed not to get a goal for the supporters here but the overriding emotion is so proud.

"We've had three very presentable chances and we are disappointed we couldn't get a goal for the supporters but they saw a side that gave everything we would could have given.

"This was our cup final and these players will go down in history at the end of the day."
