Napoli remain keen on Liverpool fullback Andrea Dossena.

The 28-year-old appeared to be very close to joining Napoli this summer, but it quickly became clear Aurelio De Laurentiis wasn't willing to sanction another signing.

"I have been out for about a month with an abductor muscle problem and I guess it's going to be 10 more days before I come back," Dossena told Radio Incontro.

"I am just asking to play regularly, particularly with the World Cup looming. There has never been any concrete interest from other teams, especially from Italian clubs."
