Giovani dos Santos is expected to remain with Tottenham after a combination of playing in Tuesday night's Champions League qualifier and some potential loan deals falling over.
The Mexico international had interest from the likes of AC Milan, Genoa, Roma and Sporting Lisbon and after earlier loan spells with Ipswich Town and Galatasaray, it seemed as though he was destined for a similar fate.
But Spurs boss Harry Redknapp has shown more faith in the 21-year old so far this season and according to agent Riccardo Sarti, dos Santos will stay at White Hart Lane this term.
"If he left Tottenham, Giovani wanted to go to Roma," Sarti told vocegiallorossa.it.
"Now it is difficult to open a negotiation, so the player is likely to stay with Tottenham given that he also played in the Champions League."
