Dortmund set sights on Japanese tourists

Borussia Dortmund have secured a regional partnership in Japan with HIS, reports, www.sportspromedia.com/. Last year's Bundesliga runners-up have signed an agreement which will allow the tour operators to run travel packages to home games at the Signal Iduna Park until the end of the 2016/17 season.

HIS will also have branding rights within Japan. According to Sponsors.de, the deal will be worth an annual €400,000 (US$470,000) to the club.

Dortmund have two Japanese players in their squad in Shinji Kagawa and Mitsuru Maruoka, and operate a Japanese-language website and online store as well as soccer schools within the country.

The club recently opened a regional commercial office for south-east Asia in Singapore.
