Borussia Dortmund are determined to keep reported Manchester United target Shinji Kagawa with the Bundesliga leaders. Kagawa joined the in the summer for a bargain fee from Japanese second-division side Cerezo Osaka, and has gone on to have a major impact on Dortmund's table topping season.
He has scored eight goals in 17 games but Dortmund's general manager Hans-Joachim Watzke is not for selling.
"They (the clubs interested) can stop all of their efforts - Kagawa will not be sold, definitely not," he told Germany's Stern magazine.
Watzke added that his club's previous financial problems are now no longer an issue and do not need to sell to balance the books.
"We are now capable of really keeping hold of the players we want to keep," he said.
"There is no sign of any changes being made to our squad."
That also means that Lucas Barrios, another player attracting a lot of interest, is not on the market either.
