Mitch Langerak suggests the Australian national team is in good shape for the future.
The 24-year old Borussia Dortmund goalkeeper is one of six players under the age of 25 at a European club and is of the belief that these sorts of players will go a long way to assisting the Socceroos qualify for the 2014 World Cup.
"It's a new generation for the Socceroos with the young boys coming through," Langerak said.
"A lot of the boys are playing regularly and playing at good clubs in good leagues. That's all you can really ask for at this moment. And to have these players doing well for their clubs, winning trophies and competing in Europe, it's fantastic.
"It's only going to be a good thing for the Socceroos in years to come and hopefully we can start to cement ourselves - the future looks good."
The other players under 25 at European clubs in Holger Osieck's squad are FC Utrecht pair Michael Zullo and Tommy Oar, Austria Vienna midfielder James Holland, Celtic's Tom Rogic and Fortuna Dusseldorf attacker Robbie Kruse.
