Landon Donovan is helping Everton in the race for Fulham attacker Clint Dempsey.
The Daily Star says Arsenal have also been strongly linked with him.
It is believed, however, that Everton have been recommended to Dempsey by his USA team-mate Donovan, who was on-loan from LA Galaxy earlier this year.
