Donovan delighted with first week back at Everton

Landon Donovan is delighted with his first week to be back at Everton.

The American has started both games since touching down on Merseyside – the 2-1 Premier League defeat to Bolton and the FA Cup win over Tamworth.

“It is great to be back,” the American international told evertontv. “I have enjoyed the two games and it is great to be playing for Everton again.

“I feel fine cardio-wise. My legs are a little heavy after the two games but we have got a few days to recover now and then a big game on Wednesday which I am excited about.

“I am pretty happy (with my form). I think the team struggled a bit against Bolton in the week. We were a little better against Tamworth but will need a big effort against Tottenham.

“They are playing really well at the moment and deserve to be right up near the top of the league. It is probably as difficult a game that I will play while over here, but it will be nice to go back to White Hart Lane and hopefully we can come away with a good result.”
