Donovan content with LA Galaxy performance in win over Colorado Rapids

LA Galaxy made it two wins in a row when they beat Colorado Rapids 2-1 away on the weekend.

Landon Donovan made it 2-0 in the 39th minute when he added to Marvell Wynne's own goal before Omar Cummings scored a brilliant goal to pull one back for the Rapids.

Late in the match, a questionable penalty was awarded to the home side with Galaxy keeper Josh Saunders producing a big save from Cummings' spot-kick to secure all three points with Donovan praising his teammates for putting in an impressive shift.

"I thought we were pretty good. They put a lot of pressure on us in the second half which was to be expected," Donovan said.

"But overall I thought our shape was pretty good. I thought we created enough chances in the game to get goals. We were pretty good in front of the goal. And then our goalie made a huge save in the end when we needed him to."
