LA Galaxy star Landon Donovan is confident the team can get better despite an almost faultless start to the 2010 MLS season. Following their 4-0 away win over Seattle Sounders on the weekend, Donovan believes the side can improve on the seven wins and one draw from eight matches that they have achieved so far.
"We can play better. If we were playing better later in the game we could have scored five or six goals. You never want to take your foot off the gas. If it's the other way, teams can make mistakes," the USA international said.
"We know we were the better team and we wanted to be aggressive and not let them dictate the game. They had the ball in the first half and our back line did a great job. When we had chances to score, we were ruthless."
Donovan added that the influence by Edson Buddle was great despite the fact he wasn't amongst the goals like he usually has been in the opening month and a half of the season.
"Our team is really good. A lot of attention is being placed on him (Buddle) and everyone else is doing a lot of things right to put him in that position. Today, he did a lot of things to get other people in the right position," he added.
