Donovan admits all Galaxy players like Beckham
LA Galaxy star Landon Donovan has admitted that all the players at the club like David Beckham despite describing him as a lousy captain.
Donovan stated in the soon-to-be-released book, The Beckham Experiment, that the former Manchester United star was a poor captain and seemed to lose focus on the club towards the end of last season.
But Donovan, who has apologised for what he said about Beckham, admits that all the players like him.
"We all like David," Donovan said. "I like David as a person and I think he's a very good player. The frustrating part was at some point something happened and he seemingly turned off at the end of the year. Nobody knows what it was, and my fault is I should have asked him and approached him and I didn't.
"Instead I vented to a reporter (book author Grant Wahl) and I regret it."
