Ashley Westwood has left ChampionshipAston Villa to join Burnley on deal which takes him to 2020.
The midfielder joined Villa from Crewe in the summer of 2012 and made 22 appearances this season – and 161 in total, scoring five goals.
"I'm delighted to be here. It's happened fast but I've been made to feel very welcome and I can't wait to get going," the 26 year old told the official Burnley web site.
"It feels like a proper football club and homely and that's what I like. I like to be appreciated and I think I will definitely get that here. "It's a fresh start and I want to show people what I can really do."
