Watford have confirmed the signing of Stoke City goalkeeper Daniel Bachmann.

Bachmann joins Watford on a three-year deal, having spent the past six seasons at Stoke City.

The 22-year-old has 16 international caps at Under-21 level and has also been selected for Austria's senior squad in each of the last two international breaks.

He has gained first-team experience through loan spells with Wrexham, Ross County and Bury, and prior to joining Stoke in 2011 was part of Austria Wien's youth setup.
