Reo Griffiths has decided to leave Tottenham for Lyon.

The 18-year-old rejected the opportunity to resign with Spurs in favour of a new challenge overseas.

He passed a medical on Wednesday and has signed a four-year contract with the Ligue 1 club.

Griffiths becomes another Englishman who has decided he could have better first-team opportunities away from the Premier League.

Highly-talented teenager Jadon Sancho decided to leave Manchester City for Borussia Dortmund last summer. He eventually made 12 first team appearances for the Bundesliga club.
